Healing is not reserved for the privileged, the rich, or the spiritual.
It belongs to all of us.

Land Acknowledgement
Pax Terra Wellness operates on the ancestral homelands of the Shawnee, Cherokee, Yuchi, and Chickasaw peoples, whose stewardship of this land predates colonization and continues to this day.

I honor the generations who came before, those who live here now, and the sacred relationship between land, spirit, and community that remains alive beneath modern structures.

As a practitioner offering energy work rooted in Japanese lineage, I also hold deep respect for the cultural traditions I’ve been entrusted with, and commit to practicing in a way that is humble, reverent, and non-appropriative. I am committed to honoring and naming the cultural traditions from which I learn and practice.

A Note on Smudging and Smoke Cleansing

At Pax Terra Wellness, we occasionally incorporate smoke cleansing using ethically sourced herbs - such as Juniper, Mugwort, Cedar, Hyssop, or Rosemary - to energetically clear the space before or during sessions.
This practice is rooted in a wide range of global traditions of healing plant ritual, including my own ancestral and intuitive connection to the earth.

I want to be clear: I do not claim or perform Indigenous smudging ceremonies, which are sacred practices specific to certain Native American and First Nations communities. True smudging - particularly with white sage, sweetgrass, and other ceremonial medicines- is a protected cultural rite and not something I appropriate or replicate.

I use non-ceremonial herbal smoke only with intention and respect, and I offer smoke-free sessions upon request.

This smoke cleansing practice is about grounding, presence, and reverence; never performance, trend, or spiritual tourism.

"To acknowledge this land on which we stand is to acknowledge truth. To acknowledge truth is to acknowledge connection and disconnection. To acknowledge connection and disconnection is to acknowledge the Nations who care for our Mother."
