My Reiki Lineage
Honoring the Traditional Usui Shiki Ryōhō Lineage
In Reiki, lineage matters. It’s a way of honoring the sacred tradition of teacher-to-student transmission that goes all the way back to the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui Sensei. It is also aligned with the Japanese tradition of honoring ancestors.
Reiki is not just an energy healing method—it is a spiritual practice rooted in intention, ethics, and energetic integrity. Knowing your practitioner’s lineage ensures you’re receiving Reiki as it was originally intended: grounded in respect, intentional in method, and a deep commitment to healing.
At Pax Terra Wellness, I am certified in Traditional Usui Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryōhō) which translates to "Usui Spiritual Emerging Healing Method." This is the original Japanese branch of Reiki taught in a non-Western format. This lineage reflects the practices that Usui Sensei taught during his lifetime. I am certified by Reiki Master Dr. Becki Baumgartner, a respected and experienced teacher and holistic practitioner based in Tennessee. My Reiki lineage is just nine degrees from Usui Sensei. This close line to Usui Sensei means that the teachings I’ve received are direct, traditional, and rooted in the original Japanese system of Reiki.

Why Lineage Matters
In traditional Japanese Reiki, lineage is sacred. It’s not about prestige. It’s about responsibility. A clear, unbroken lineage shows that your practitioner has been trained with care, reverence, and ethical standards. This ensures your Reiki session is more than just a trend or energy buzzword - it’s an authentic, spiritually guided healing experience grounded in time-honored practice.
When you work with me, you’re not just receiving Reiki from one person. You’re receiving healing through a living tradition passed down mindfully, teacher to student, all the way from its original source.

Respect for Tradition, Integrity in Practice
At Pax Terra Wellness, I practice Reiki with deep respect for its Japanese origins and cultural roots. I do not claim to have created or modernized this work—I honor the teachings as they were passed to me, and I continue to grow in my understanding and humility as a practitioner.
If you're looking for Reiki from a practitioner with clear lineage, traditional training, respect for the Eastern origins of Reiki, and an inclusive approach, you're in the right place.
